MORNE (Massachusetts)
Profound Lore Records band, Morne, will headline an evening of thunderous and dark music at 3S Artspace on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Formed in 2005, Morne is a heavy, atmospheric band based in Boston, Massachusetts. Their style blends doom metal and classic British crust punk but stretches beyond those boundaries, combining a bleak lyrical style with driving riffs.

Three studio albums have been released to date. Their first, Untold Wait, was produced on Feral Ward Records in 2009. In 2011, they signed with Profound Lore Records and released Asylum that same year, followed by Shadows, in 2013. Currently, they are working on their fourth full length album.

The band has toured the US, Canada and Europe, where they have been part of large festivals such as Roadburn and Hellfest. Morne’s appearances in the Northeast tend to manifest no more than a couple of shows each year, which only enhances the unique nature of their upcoming performance.

GRUE (Massachusetts/New Hampshire)
“Grue is a Boston black metal band… a raging storm-front of black metal fury through which a memorable melody weaves its way, the storm eventually spending itself in a subdued passage before ramping up again through hard-rocking chords and rhythms to a final attacking rush.” – No Clean Singing on Grue’s Casualty of the Psychic Wars

NORTHERN CURSE (New Hampshire)
“We view this band as a raw and simple Black Metal band. No frills but a little hint of melody here and there. But obviously we all play in Hardcore bands. So I’m sure that sort of framework is worked in there. My brother and I grew up listening to Thrash and Death Metal so you might hear some of that shining through as well: Morbid Angel, Unleashed, Disincarnate, on the Death side of things and Sepultura, Slayer, Sarcofogo and probably Metallica on the Thrash side, and whatever else we’ve picked up along the way.” – Matt Serven of Northern Curse, interviewed by Decibel Magazine’s Demo:listen
